Update: The Ukrainian man detained alongside the models has been identified as Vitaly Grechin, a Kiev native that claimed to have connections with the American Democratic Party as a political strategist.

Grechin, who has been travelling and taking photos with the women, has reportedly spent much of his life in American and even claimed he had served in the US Army before returning to his hometown for a job at the American Embassy.

The claims, which have been compiled by RT, come from different publications, primarily those found in Eastern Europe.

On his Facebook page, Grechin was seen in photos eating spaghetti alongside George Clooney and posing with former US President Barrack Obama and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

Grechin alleged in one interview that he had close ties with former President Obama, and even helped finance his campaign.

April 5 – Approximately 40 women from Eastern Europe have been arrested in Dubai for posing nude on a balcony.

The women, who hail from Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, and Moldova were arrested after posing on the balcony in Dubai on Saturday.

According to the Daily Mail, Russian national Alexey Kontsov, 33, was also arrested on suspicion of organizing the shoot.

Dubai Police confirmed that the group, comprised mostly of Ukrainian nationals in their mid-twenties, had been arrested on public debauchery charges.

Russian online news outlet Mash reported that the daughter of a Russian businessman and former banker is among the arrested. 

The UAE’s public decency laws, which cover nudity and other “lewd behavior,”, can land a person six months in prison and a $1,366 fine.
