Environmentally-conscious women and social media stars in Florida are cleaning up the beaches- in swimsuits.
The Bikini Beach Cleanup group was recently in Fort Lauderdale, where they cleaned up beaches left ravaged from spring break.
Event organizer Ashley Ricardo detailed the damage left by out-of-state spring breakers, but noted that the job was completed without major issue.
“It was a madhouse with Spring Breakers, other festivals, closed parking lots, traffic etc.,” she wrote. “Plus, I forgot some things I really wanted for clean up BUT, WE ALL showed up and did it!”
Unlike the Kardashians, Jenners and the rest of the Instagram-famous women who use the platform for personal gain, this group is going around cleaning up trash.
According to British Tabloid Daily Mail, it took about thirty minutes to clean up one area of the beach.
