Another Asian man was attacked while riding the New York City subway, authorities report.
The victim, who is reportedly in his twenties, was taking the J train from Brooklyn to Manhattan when he was attacked by a black male.
The young man held his own for some time before being knocked out.
“He’s sleeping,” one rider said.
According to the New York Daily News, one person on the train claimed the Asian man used a variation of the “N-word.”
Over thirty hate crimes against Asians in NYC have been logged this year.
