Biden saying ‘some black woman’ stocked shelves so people could stay home during COVID pandemic goes viral

The media and public gives an awful lot of slack to Democratic nominee for president Joe Biden, particularly when it comes to gaffes.

Such was the case in Tampa, Florida, when Biden spoke of “some black woman” he interacted with.

The gaffe, which came about during a visit to the Sunshine State in September, involved a woman discussing the pandemic.

“The American public, the blinders have been taken off. They’ve all of a sudden seen a helluva lot clearer,” Biden said. “They’ve seen, ‘Geez, the reason I was able to stay sequestered in my home is because some black woman was able to stock the grocery shelf.’”

The comment, according to the Washington Examiner, goes on the shelf with several other off-the-cuff comments made concerning minorities.

“If you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black,” Biden said in May of black voters.

Biden, who has enacted justice policies that often lead to higher incarceration rates in black communities, felt he had been taken out of context.
