The most wanted man in Florida may have been spotted on trail camera in the Panhandle region of the state.
Brian Laundrie, who is wanted in connection with the potentially fatal disappearance of his ex-fiancee, Gabby Petito, currently has law enforcement scouring the state in hopes that he will turn up.
The FBI recently took over Laundrie’s family home, kicking out his parents and declaring it a crime scene.
Laundrie may have been spotted near Baker, Florida, according to an image posted to social media.
“I’m not saying this is the guy but whoever was on my trail camera this morning in Baker, Fl strongly fits the description of Brian Laundrie,” Sam Bass captioned the Facebook post. “Authorities have been contacted but people in the North West Florida area be on the look out.”
Laundrie’s family found his car at Carlton Reserve last week, nearly 500 miles away from where the trail camera footage was sourced.
The FBI is currently searching the Carlton Reserve.
It is unknown if the person caught on the trail camera is Laundrie, though that won’t stop waves of social media users riding the “true crime” fad.
Remains believed to be Petito, who was reported missing ten days ago, were found in Wyoming over the weekend. according to the New York Post.
Laundrie, a person of interest in the case, refused to speak with police and ultimately went missing last week.
