California bar puts out warning after woman intentionally coughs on bartender

A California woman was caught in the act by surveillance cameras as she maliciously coughed on a bartender- all because she refused to wear a face mask.

The incident took place in the city of Belmont at St. James Gate, a local eatery and pub that is currently under mask and social distancing rules from the Health Department.

The woman, who came to the establishment on June 19, was in violation on two counts- she had no mask and was not maintaining distance.

“This lady kept hugging everyone in the bar and not wearing a mask,” bartender Misha Marotta told ABC7.

When confronted by a bartender, the woman coughed in the direction of the employee.

“It was very disgusting, on a couple of levels,” Marotta said.

Asked to leave, the patron threw a fit, knocking over a chair and giving the middle finger.

Employees did not file a police report, and hope the woman learns some manners.
