Music
artist Cardi B has reportedly applied for Nigerian citizenship in the aftermath of a series of decisions by President Donald J. Trump related to the handling of the Iran crisis.
Stirring
the hysteria concerning a potential third world war, Cardi B claimed that the moves against Iran by the United States were foolhardy and will lead to conflict.
“Naaaaa these memes are f***in but s**t ain’t no joke! … [sic] Specially being from New York,” she said on social media, referencing memes that predict WWIII.
The
singer, whose real name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, claimed that the order to kill Iranian lRevolutionary Guard Gen. Qassem Soleimani was enough to make her file for Nigerian citizenship.
“[It’s] sad this man is putting Americans [lives] in danger,” Cardi said. “Dumbest move Trump did till date …I’m filing for my Nigerian citizenship.”
According to the Daily Mail, the singer had recently visited Africa and took a liking to Nigeria, going so far as to adopt the Nigerian name “Chioma.”
Cardi B also went on to say that young people should support the Democratic Party.
“You see the Republicans, they are afraid to stand up to Trump, because he might take their positions away from them, but the Democrats, they just don’t give a f***,” she said. “And my thing is, right, that we get distracted with people putting Trump on blast, like CNN constantly putting Trump on blast on the s**t he has been committing in this country, because he puts things on Twitter that distract us from all the bulls*** that he’s actually been doing.”
The
singer is known for her support of Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, and supported him during his previous attempt at running for president.
