As America braces for an arbitrary lockdown in the wake of projected election results, many government officials on federal, state and local levels -as well as their media allies- are suggesting that people cancel Thanksgiving.
Despite the demands for cancellation, however, Democratic lawmakers are planning spectacular dinners on Capitol Hill.
Falling back on the usual talking points associated with the highly-politicized 2020 pandemic, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi attempted to justify the banquet.
“It’s very spaced out,” she stated, referencing social distancing.
Meanwhile, state lawmakers such as California Governor Newsom are enacting strict guidelines in their home territories while violating the rules on their own time.
House Dem and GOP leaders are holding respective dinners for new members.

According to the Federalist, Newsom was caught attending dinner with “a dozen attendees from several different households,” despite having placed a ban preventing California residents to host Thanksgiving.
Chicago’s much-memed Democratic mayor, Lori Lightfoot, also called for restrictions.
“While this is tough, and of course this whole year has been tough, we must tell you, you must cancel the normal Thanksgiving plans,” Lightfoot said Thursday, several days after attending crowded post-election celebrations, when media organizations presumptuously called the 2020 Presidential Race for former Vice President Joe Biden.
When pressed for comment, Lightfoot claimed her presence was irrelevant.
“That crowd was gathered whether I was there or not,” she said.
Both Lightfoot and Pelosi were criticized earlier this year for getting their hair done while salons were off-limits to the average citizen.
