A delivery driver for DoorDash reportedly refused to give a New Yorker his food, after she felt insulted by an $8 tip.
The incident, which took place in Long Island, was recorded on a Ring doorbell.
The Smithtown residence was reportedly brought food from the neighboring town of Commack.
According to the New York Post, the female driver stated that she “drove 40 minutes” to deliver the food.
“Do you realize how far it is? Do you realize you ordered from Commack and you’re in Smithtown?” the woman said.
“A 15-, 20-minute drive,” the resident replied.
“I just drove it, it’s 40 minutes. It’s 12½ miles,” she said.
The resident seem confused after the driver urged him to “make it right.”
“What the hell are you looking for?!” The man asked. “I gave an $8 tip!”
Indignant, the woman demanded he “make it right.”
“Okay, I’m gonna bring the food back,” she said, walking off.
Door Dash did not immediately respond for a comment.
