Federal agents raided former NYC Mayor Rudy Giuliani’s apartment on Wednesday, executing search warrants in relation to the lawyer’s dealings in the Ukraine.
Giuliani’s apartment and office were stormed and several electronic devices were taken by the feds.
The warrant surrounds allegations that Giuliani helped turn up dirt on opponents for former President Donald Trump.
Lawyer Robert Costello called the raids “legal thuggery.”
According to the New York Post, Justice Department investigators had attempted to secure the warrants for several months but ran into issues with Trump appointees at the DOJ.
The US Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York declined to comment.
