Renowned far-left feminist author Katha Pollitt showed how far she was willing to go for presidential candidate and former Vice President Joe Biden, claiming she would vote for him “if he boiled babies and ate them.”
Reflecting the commonly-accepted idea that the left’s current strategy has been simplified down to “defeat President Trump,” Pollitt, who writes for The Nation, cast aside her feminist values and went so far as to say she would even look past his sexual assault allegations.
“I would vote for Joe Biden if he boiled babies and ate them. He wasn’t my candidate, but taking back the White House is that important,” Pollitt wrote.
In addition to writing for The Nation, Politt has four essay collections and two books of poetry which focus on themes of politics, abortion, welfare reform and feminism.
However, it seems, all these ideals -and the sexual assault accounts of Biden accuser Tara Reade- have been abandoned for the sake of stopping Trump from winning another four years in office.
“I cannot believe that a rational person can grasp the disaster that is Donald Trump and withhold their support from Biden because of Tara Reade. I would say this even if I had no problems with Reade’s account- after all, Biden will be running against Trump, who has been accused of sexual misconduct by 25 women,” she wrote.

According to The Hill, Politt drew massive criticism for her comments, but then claimed that they were a form of dark humor, deriding her detractors as “tender souls.”
“Most of the negative comments about my Tara Reade piece are from tender souls horrified by the boiled babies in the lede,” she wrote on Twitter. “Some ppl don’t appreciate dark humor and comic overstatement. They must have a hard time in this fallen world.”
