Accusations have been levied against Somali-born Minnesota Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, claiming that she is a Qatari asset that has been feeding information to Iran.
Kuwaiti-born Canadian businessman Alan Bender issued the damning statements during a deposition in connection to the Qatari emir’s brother, who organized a hit on two people and held a US citizen hostage in Florida.
Bender told the Florida District Court that Qatar’s Secretary to the Emir for Security Affairs Mohammad bin Ahmed bin Abdullah al-Masnad and two other senior Qatari officials approached him in order to collect intelligence assets from America’s media and political circles.
The three officials touted Omar, referring to her as the “jewel in the crown” of their intelligence scheme, stating that, “If it wasn’t for our cash, Ilhan Omar would be just another black Somali refugee in America collecting welfare and serving tables on weekends.”
The damning affadavit then states that Omar used her position of power in the House of Representatives to leak intelligence to Oman, who then gave the prized information to Iran.
According to the Clarion Project, the Qataris claimed that “the best thing money can buy are American officials, because they are the cheapest of the cheapest costing officials in the world.”
It is unknown if the statements made by Bender are actually true or not, and no plans for an investigation into the matter have been publicly made at this time.
