Two men in Maryland’s Montgomery County are facing charges after attacking a man for wearing a “Make America Great Again” in Germantown.

The victim, Atsu Nable, was taking a walk on Saturday afternoon when two men walked up and confronted him over his choice of headwear.

“I was like, ‘Why are you doing this?’ They said, ‘No, the hat,’ and they started punching me on my head.” Nable told FOX 5.
Nable claimed the men -identified as Jovan Crawford and Scott Roberson- demanded he remove his hat, despite the victim insisting that he was entitled to his political opinions.
Not long after, he was repeatedly hit until he fell to the ground.
A legal immigrant from West Africa, Nable became a US Citizen after moving to the US in 2007 and is a supporter of President Donald J. Trump.
Alerted to the attack by witnesses, Montgomery County Police soon descended upon the area, and found Crawford and Roberson hiding among children at a basketball court.
According to FOX5DC, the two men are facing multiple charges, including robbery and second-degree assault.
