Joe Biden says Covid-19 claimed thousands of jobs, millions of lives, also forgets staff names

Former Vice President Joe Biden still has his sights set on the White House- even as he continues to struggle forming coherent sentences.

In a time when the US is struggling to re-open in order to avoid a post-pandemic depression, Biden managed to mix up the statistics regarding job loss and pandemic casualties.

“This is not a moment for excuses or deflections or blame game. We’re…we’re in the middle of a pandemic that has cost us more than 85,000 jobs as of today,” he said.

“Lives of millions of people. Millions of people. Millions of jobs,” he then fumbled, perhaps in a moment of clarity.

Biden managed to maintain composure during the speech, but the damage was done.

“You know, and we’re in a position where we just got new unemployment insurance, this morning, numbers, 36.5 million claims since this crisis began,” he noted.

According to the New York Post, Biden’s opposition have often used his gaffes to claim he is “senile.”

Biden’s use of bizarre phrases range from telling Americans to “make sure you have the record player on at night,” to telling Americans to purchase double-barrel shotguns instead of AR15s, going so far as to instruct the public to “fire two blasts outside the house” to drive off intruders- something that can land people in jail in most jurisdictions.

Recently, Biden urged people who believed Tara Reade -the former US Senate staffer who claims she was sexually assaulted by Biden- not to vote for him.

“If they believe Tara Reade, they probably shouldn’t vote for me,” he said. Biden is well aware of his issues with public speaking, and has described himself as a “gaffe machine.”
