Kyle Rittenhouse announces plans to sue Whoopi Goldberg, other celebrities while launching fund

Kenosha riot survivor Kyle Rittenhouse is now launching a new initiative to combat untrue narratives put out by the mainstream media.

Speaking on “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” the 18-year-old -who was cleared of wrongdoing in 2021 after he was forced to open fire on rioters in 2020- stated that he was going to use his experience with media slander to develop a countermeasure.

“Me and my team have decided to launch The Media Accountability Project as a tool to help fundraise and hold the media accountable for the lies they said and deal with them in court,” Rittenhouse said on Monday.

In the early moments following the shooting, many left-leaning media outlets and celebrities continued to push a false narrative of what had happened during the incident.

The narratives were repeated so often that they were accepted as fact by much of the public, despite the evidence of the case proving such narratives false.

“I don’t want to see anybody else have to deal with what I went through. So I want to hold them accountable for what they did to me, because I don’t want to see anybody have to go through what I went through,” Rittenhouse said.

According to Fox News, Rittenhouse has developed a “list” of celebrities to hold accountable, including Cenk Uygur and Ana Kasparian of The Young Turks, who claimed Rittenhouse was a “murderer.”

However, others are also named.

“Well, right now, we’re looking at quite a few politicians, celebrities, athletes, Whoopi Goldberg’s on the list,” Rittenhouse said. “She called me a ‘murderer’ after I was acquitted by a jury of my peers. She went on to still say that.”

For Rittenhouse, it appears that setting a new precedent of accountability is the mission.

“We’re going to hold everybody who lied about me accountable, such as everybody who lied called me a White supremacist,” Rittenhouse said. “They’re all going to be held accountable. And we’re going to handle them in a courtroom.”
