Man found almost dead after girlfriend starved and stabbed him for three years
An Englishman was held captive, starved and beaten by his ex-girlfriend- and she’s only getting seven years in prison.
22-year-old Alex Skeel was abused for three years by 22-year-old Jordan Worth, who controlled every aspect of his life, denied him food, stabbed him with a knife and knocked out his tooth.
The father of Worth’s two children, Skeel was abused around the clock, and even told what to wear.
In 2017, Skeel was a mere 97 pounds when he was discovered in their Luton home by police, who quickly noticed he was injured, emaciated, clad in filthy clothes and tied to the stairs.
“As soon as I saw him in the light of day, the state of him to be honest, the countless injuries all over his body, the fact he had these horrible dirty clothes on,” one officer said after the discovery. He was pale, thin. I thought this is what I think it is…He’s being abused.”
While police repeatedly asked him if he was abused, Skeel denied anything of the sort- at least until he was in the back of the police car.
Taking Worth into custody, the police also ensured Skeel was treated by medical staff, who claimed he had only ten days to live and was suffering from fluid buildup inside the skull, a byproduct of repeated blunt force trauma to the head.
Skeel met Worth in 2012, and they had two children between 2014 and 2017.
According to News.Com.Au, Worth became abusive early on in the relationship, and used their children as an excuse to keep her under his thumb.
Her atrocities include drugging him with sleeping pills, attempting to legally change his name, forcing him to sleep on the bathroom floor, beating him with a hammer and pouring boiling water on him.
