Man reportedly shoots flamethrower on top of NYC bus

A shocking video of a man with a flame thrower on top of a public transit bus in New York city was shared by the NYPD Sergeants Benevolent Association.

The post on Twitter, which tagged the New York City Mayor and President Trump, said that “NYC is NOT safe YOU are being lied to. Keep defunding the police this will become rampant.”

While the post was removed, but the video was reshared in various other places.

In 2019, flamethrowers became illegal in New York in response to to Elon Musk’s Boring company’s sale of flame throwers.

The New York State Senate passed a bill that makes possession of a flamethrower, except in certain circumstances, a felony.

According to NBC, the only exemptions are flamethrowers built before 1966 and those used for agriculture and construction.

It is not known where the incident occurred but based upon the route of the New York City Transit Authority bus in the video, it occurred somewhere between downtown Brooklyn and Ridgewood, Queens.
