Man shoots himself in genitals with Hi-Point, bullet enters above and exits through scrotum

An Indiana man shot himself in the junk on Thursday, reminding everyone why handguns belong in holsters.

The Marion Police Department reported the unfortunate incident that involved 46-year-old Mark Anthony Jones, who was carrying an unholstered Hi-Point 9mm handgun in his waistband when it began to slip.

Already breaking one rule about utilizing a holster, Jones broke a second by attempting to catch a falling gun.

Needless to say, the incident was a real “ball buster” after the bullet entered his pelvic area and left his scrotum.

According to Fox7, when police arrived at the city hospital to file a report, it was revealed that Jones did not have a license to carry. The case will be sent to the county prosecutor’s office for review.

While appendix carry with a rigid kydex holster is both efficient and safe, simply tucking a firearm into one’s waistband is rarely a good idea.
