When it comes to Thanksgiving eats, Mike Tyson has a healthy appetite … for jokes.
The former heavyweight boxing champ – who’s making a return to the ring against Roy Jones Jr. on Saturday – posted a humorous video on his official YouTube page promoting the coveted bout.
In the clip, Tyson appears with his children getting ready to feast on their Thanksgiving meal, where he carves a turkey sculpture of Jones.
Slicing off the “ear” portion of the Jones lookalike, the iconic pugilist cracked a joke while doing it.
“Tastes so much better than Evander’s,” he quipped, in a nod to the infamous incident when he bit a chunk of Evander Holyfield’s ear during their fight in 1997.
While the fight with Jones – who held multiple world championships in four weight classes during a near 20-year career – is considered an exhibition, both boxers have vowed to knock each other out.
Last week, the 54-year-old Tyson posted an image in his boxing trunks looking fit.
Though he’s had a 50-6 record during his eventful career, he hasn’t been in the ring since June 2005 when he lost to Kevin McBride.
After the fight, he revealed he didn’t have “the guts to be in this sport anymore.”
In August, Tyson squared off with a shark during the Discovery Channel event of “Shark Week,” which was billed as “Tyson vs. Jaws: Rumble on the Reef.”
“I took on this challenger to overcome fears I still deal with in life,” he said while promoting the Aug. 9 TV special. “I equate this with overcoming my fear of getting back into the ring at 54 years old.”
