Nail salon customer bites employees over "poor service"

Newark police are asking for the public’s help as they try to find an incensed nail salon customer who attacked an employee and two bystanders after getting into an argument on Monday.

The dispute broke out shortly before 11:20 a.m. at Angel Nails Spa on Jones Street when the woman began yelling at workers over what she perceived as poor service, Newark police said.

She then bit a woman working at the salon on the ear before biting another man on the arm who tried to intervene, authorities said.

The angry client then went outside where she encountered another woman. She then attacked that woman — pulling her hair and punching her in the face, police said.

The incident ended when the incensed patron ran toward the New Community Manor housing complex on Hayes Street.
