A California man attempting to flee after hitting multiple cars was jumped by several people in a San Diego neighborhood.
The incident took place on Thursday morning, when a man driving a silver Dodge pickup smashed into several vehicles.
“He hit my girlfriend’s car and mine,” said resident James Phillips. “Literally within four inches of our front window.”
At one point, the driver made an attempt to flee.
“He was running into all of these different cars,” Phillips said. “A couple of guys actually got into the car, pulled the keys out of the ignition and yanked him out of the car.”
A video, provided by Phillips to NBC 7 San Diego, shows several men holding the driver down, urging him to stop struggling.
In the distance, San Diego Police can be seen rushing to the scene with lights and sirens activated.
The driver was taken into custody and transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital.
