Outspoken columnist for the Denver Post fired for belief that there are only 2 sexes

A columnist for the Denver Post has reportedly been fired after repeatedly mentioning that there are only two sexes, something his editorial editor thought was “too insensitive.”

Jon Caldara didn’t even make it through January of 2020 before getting sacked, with the final straw being in the first two weeks of the month.

In two articles, Caldara explained that there were only two sexes, and that the very definition of “binary” coincides with that fact.

“[There are] two sexes, identified by an XX or XY chromosome,” he wrote. “That is the very definition of binary.”

Later, he stated that “Democrats don’t want transparency in hospital billing and they certainly don’t want education transparency when it comes to their mandate to convince your kid that there are more than two sexes.”

According to the Daily Mail, Editorial Editor Megan Schrader thought his writing was “too insensitive.”

Caldara had been with DP since 2016.

“Not to put words in her mouth but Megan found my writing too insensitive. And yes, it is. My column is not a soft voiced, sticky sweet NPR-styled piece which employs the language now mandated by the victim-centric, identity politics driven media.”

Caldara has, in the past, stated that he’s all for marriage equality and doesn’t care what restroom people use, but adds that political correctness has gone too far in media.

“To force us to use inaccurate pronouns, to force us to teach our kids that there are more than two sexes, to call what is plainly a man in a dress, well, not a man in a dress violates our right of speech,” he wrote.

As a warning, Caldara would later claim that the media hivemind that largely seems to have disdain for the President of the United States is the very reason he was elected- and will likely get him re-elected.

“I do know that the stifling of conservative and libertarian voices because journalists and those in entertainment see it as mean-spirited, has built up the frustration with the politically correct to the point someone who speaks as vilely as Donald Trump becomes president. It’s why I think he’ll be re-elected,” he wrote. I guess, thank you media. Your intolerance created him.”
