A Democratic lawmaker in Pennsylvania has suggested forced vasectomies to any man who turns 40 or has a third child.
The virtue-signalling bill was penned by PA State Representative Chris Rabb, and was reportedly an exaggerated response to Texas’ pro-life legislation.
Deeming men as “inseminators,” the bill grants a $10k reward to citizens in PA who report anyone who “wrongfully conceives” a child with them.
In the document, “wrongful conception” is deemed “demonstrated negligence toward preventing contraception during intercourse.”
According to the Daily Mail, Rabb said he was inspired by Illinois Democratic Representative Kelly Cassidy, who introduced a law last month aimed at protecting abortion in her state.
Needless to say, the bill drew some criticism.
Pennsylvania Rep. Barb Gleim claimed progressives “completely disregarded your personal medical freedom,” adding that the bill was “the nail in the coffin.”
The bill is a direct attack on Texas law SB8, which rolled out on September 1. The law banned abortions after a fetal heartbeat is detected on an ultrasound, usually six weeks into a pregnancy.
