Project Veritas leaks phone calls with CNN officials, discussing influence through media manipulation

Project Veritas has released leaked phone conversations between officials at CNN discussing how to cover -or even influence through media manipulation- the disputed outcome of the 2020 election.

Through a series of tapes obtained by PV head James O’Keefe, multiple journalists and leaders at CNN discuss how they can potentially spin narratives on the transition process, should Former Vice President Joe Biden be officially announced the winner.

Furthermore, focus was placed on the 9/11 Investigation reports as a talking point as to why the Trump Administration needed to begin security briefs with Biden’s “Office of the President-Elect.”

“On the issue of why it’s important to get the transition going right, the 9/11 report talks about one of the problems was that the trouble that was brewing that [got] lost during the transition,” CNN Journalist Stephanie Becker explained in the tapes. “So, if you want a good, concrete example of what happens when you don’t have a good transition, well, look at the Twin Towers.”

Other conversations include an October 9 call, where CNN President Jeff Zucker urged his staff to not “normalize” President Trump’s “erratic” behavior as he was recovering from the coronavirus.

Zucker went on to suggest that the President’s Trump’s medical treatment was affecting his actions.

“OK, I just want to re-emphasize that, you know, I think we cannot normalize what has happened here in the last week with Trump and his behavior,” Zucker says in the tapes. “And I go back to what [CNN political Director] David, David Chalian said, that this is a president who knows he’s losing, who knows he’s in trouble, is sick, maybe is on the after-effects of steroids or not. I don’t know, but he is acting erratically and desperately, and we need to, we need to not normalize that…He is all over the place and acting erratically. And I think we need to lean into that.”

It is unknown just how many conversations have been recorded.
