The surveillance footage from inside of a lower Manhattan prison has gone missing- and it just so happens to be the footage from when Jeffrey Epstein allegedly killed himself.
The footage, which was recorded outside of Epstein’s cell, mysteriously vanished after the millionaire reportedly hanged himself.
Epstein, who was sharing a cell with a former Westchester County officer-turned convict, Nick Tartaglione, died under rather mysterious circumstances, with guards asleep on the job when he perished.
Tartaglione’s lawyer asked that the security footage be preserved, but demanded that the security footage be preserved.
“I don’t know the details of how it was lost or destroyed or why it wasn’t retained when it should have been,” the attorney said.
Epstein was reportedly attacked by Tartaglione, and the millionaire was allegedly left with serious injuries.
According to the New York Post, it is unknown why the footage was destroyed or went missing.
