A student at Arizona State University was filmed making threatening remarks in the aftermath of President Donald J. Trump’s acquittal, demanding that Republicans have their throats be slashed.
The video, which was shared by a group known as “Students for Trump at ASU” on Twitter, shows an unkempt young man dressed in black clothing, acting hysterically as he screamed threats towards bystanders.
“Slash his throat!” he shrieked, making a slashing gesture with his hand. “Every f***ing Republican! Suck my f***ing balls.”
“Say that one more time?” someone in the crowd replies.
“Slash Republican throats!” the man replied. “Slash fascist throats! Death to facists!”
As he staggered away, one woman in the crowd decided to take the high road.
“Have a good one,” she said as her friends started to laugh.
After being inundated with messages, ASU’s Police Department was quick to respond on Twitter.
“We are aware of a video circulating on social media where an individual appears to be making threats,” the agency tweeted. “We are working with the University to address the matter.”
