Carmryin Amy and Olivia Winslow, both 21, face charges including felony charges of robbery, conspiracy and hate crimes and a misdemeanor charge of endangering the welfare of a child.

Amy faces additional charges for assaulting a man who tried to retrieve the hat, allegedly attempting to assault the boy’s mother, and offensive touching of the boy

“Violence in any form is unacceptable, but harming another person — let alone a child — because of the expression of their views betrays the principles on which our country was founded,” said Attorney General Kathy Jennings according to the Washington Examiner. “Free speech, free assembly, and free expression are sacred, no matter whether we agree with the opinions expressed, and especially when we don’t. That is as true today as it was when the Bill of Rights was ratified. Our Division of Civil Rights and Public Trust will continue to defend everyone’s fundamental rights.”

A woman in Delaware claims her 7-year-old son was attacked by supporters of Joe Biden, who forcibly stole his red MAGA hat and pushed him over.

Abbey Wigton had brought her son, Riley Wigton, along to stand outside of the DNC Virtual Convention in Wilmington on August 21.

The mother and son had reportedly queued up to eat at a restaurant when two women began attacking them.

“I was with my 7 year old son across the street from Joe Biden’s DNC Convention speech in Wilmington, Delaware,” Wigton told Benny Johnson of TPUSA. We were waiting for a table at a restaurant to eat dinner when the attack happened. My son was wearing his MAGA hat. We were standing outside peacefully minding our own business waiting for our table. Suddenly, two Joe Biden supporters began to yell political epithets at my child. They ripped the sign from my arms and assaulted my seven year old son.”

Suddenly, one of the women allegedly noticed the hat on Riley’s head.

“The Joe Biden supporters laid hands on my child and ripped his “Make America Great Again” hat from his head while cursing at him and pushing him over,” she claimed. “The two Joe Biden supporters verbally and physically assaulted my child. My 7 year old child was sobbing and screaming.”

When Abbey Wigton attempted to defend her son and retrieve his hat, she was “punched in the face multiple times,” with one woman claiming the pair would “knock [Wigton] the f__k out.”

“They stole my son’s hat and threw it over the fence into a dirt filled construction site where we could not retrieve it,” she said.

At one point, Riley asked for his hat back, to which the women reportedly replied, “We don’t give a f__k, your mom supports Trump.”

Video of the incident corroborated with Wigton’s claims, and a report has been filed with the Wilmington Police.
