USPS mail carrier caught on camera pepper-spraying family’s dog for no reason

A federal employee showed her sadistic side after she attacked a friendly dog with OC spray from the other side of a gate- and the US Postal Service won’t throw her to the wolves.

The Los Angeles-area postworker was filmed placing parcels in the mailbox on the other side of the iron fence on Monday when the family dog, Coco, casually walked up to the fence with a wagging tail.

Separated by the iron fence, the woman bends down, reaches in her bag for OC spray, and unleashes a volley of liquid pain, sending Coco running.

Coco’s owner was forced to take the dog to the hospital, and reports that the dog has been in pain ever since.

According to Daily Mail, the USPS apologized, but would not offer up the woman’s identity.

“On behalf of the United States Postal Service, we want to apologize to our customer,” the organization said in a statement. “We do not condone our employees behaving in a manner which is not professional and courteous. The appropriate personnel and corrective action will be taken with regard to this incident as well as training given to all local carriers on how and when to use dog repellent.”
