New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is facing a potential investigation and removal from office- and it isn’t over his handling of the pandemic.
Cuomo has recently drawn fire for a video showing him allegedly sexually harassing a female journalist eating a pork product, urging her to “eat the whole sausage.”
The video, which was taken at the 2016 New York State Fair, shows him speaking with former NewsChannel 9 reporter Beth Cefalu as his daughter sits next to him.
“I want to see you eat the whole sausage,” he said, prompting his daughter to avert her eyes in discomfort.
“I don’t know if I should eat the whole sausage in front of you, but I’m definitely going to eat it,” responded Cefalu, who now works for a Westchester-area station.
According to the New York Post, Cuomo then urged Cefalu to sit at his table, all while she took a selfie with him and her plate of pork product.
“There’s too much sausage in that picture,” he said.
Since the video resurfaced, many have accused Cuomo of sexual harassment- Cefalu not being among them.
“I was not pressured/harassed this is two people enjoying the one event -the NYS fair- that gives them a little more freedom to be informal,” Cefalu tweeted. “It’s really sad it’s being turned into anything more.”
