Jill Biden may have her hands full with her husband as he continues the campaign trail, but she can only do so much about his comments and actions around young girls.
While Mrs. Biden follows Joe Biden on the trail, she’s been known to pull him back a few feet and ensure that he’s maintaining proper social distancing, lest he become exposed to the coronavirus.
On Monday, she had to pull him away from reporters, prompting him to say, “I’m sorry.”
One thing she can’t really control, however, is his gaffes.
While visiting the Little Haiti Cultural Center in Miami, Biden watched a performance by school-aged children and later stated how he would back the Hispanic community.
Then, it seems, his attention turned to the little girls who had been performing, and he vowed to return.
“The good news is, for me, I’m here. The bad news, for you, is I’m coming back,” he said. “I’m coming back, I’m coming back. And I want to see these beautiful young ladies, I want to see them dancing when they’re four years older, too,” he said.
According to the New York Post, Biden is no stranger to gaffes and has frequently made rather eyebrow-raising comments while in office and on the campaign trail.
